Mellody Mallick, Administrative Assistant
Mellody Mallick started working at Alder Bay in February 2011 as the Administrative Assistant. She handles all general office matters and is usually the first face you see when you walk in the front doors. She enjoys getting to know the residents and socializing at the great events Alder Bay puts on.
Mellody was born and raised in Humboldt County. She graduated from Humboldt State in 2008 with her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology; Pre-Physical Therapy. After graduation, she worked as the Fitness Coordinator for a health clinic where she specialized in working with diabetic clients. There she studied and learned about the correlation between diabetes and dementia. While living briefly in the Bay Area, she worked for one of the Bay Area’s premier assisted living facilities. She worked in their Personal Expressions department where she helped plan and carry out activities and special events. Living in the Bay Area was very brief, as Mellody realized that Humboldt County truly is home.
