Ed Vilches, Maintenance Director
Eduardo Vilches is the Maintenance Director at Alder Bay. He started working at Alder Bay in December 2009. Ed works hard to maintain all the equipment and makes sure everything is working properly in and outside of the building. Ed enjoys spending time with the residents and building friendships and connections with them. He often involves residents in projects to encourage them to stay active and be productive.
He was born, raised, and went to high school in Mexico and then came to the United Stated in 1980. He worked in the restaurant industry in San Diego. Afterwards he moved to San Francisco for a year and worked there. In 1987, he returned to Mexico and met his wife whom he has three kids. He has worked most of his life in the logging industry and held different titles and tasks, which have helped him to learn and grow. Ed enjoys fishing, working on cars, and watching basketball games.
